NLPA Pleased to Have Stan Mannschreck as Chairman for Fourth Term and Gary Smith as Vice Chairman for Second Term

(National Livestock Producers Assn., 2/22/12) -- NLPA begins its 91st year of serving livestock producers under the leadership of Stan Mannschreck, a cattle rancher from Anadarko, Okla. Mannschreck, who represents National Livestock Marketing Association, Oklahoma City, Okla., on the NLPA board, was re-elected to a fourth term as chairman at NLPA's annual meeting held in Scottsdale, Ariz., Jan. 23-25, 2012.

"For more than 90 years NLPA has provided and to this day continues to provide support to a significant segment of the livestock marketing and livestock financing industries. I am proud to be a part of these efforts," Mannschreck said. "Over the past 10 years, NLPA has worked to more fully support livestock producers by providing management and expertise for other livestock-focused entities. As an example, the NLPA Sheep & Goat Fund Committee was formed in 2000 to provide a lending vehicle for funds to the sheep and goat industries and since its formation, nearly $30 million has been provided to those industries in the form of loans.
